Marilee Lewis was born in Hamilton on November 13, 1954, and passed on February 12, 2026, surrounded by family in her daughter, Sarah’s home. She grew up in Fairfield, Ohio, with her mother, Iris Farler, and siblings: Susan, Timmy, and Allen.

Growing up, Marilee was always outgoing, curious, nurturing, and kind. She loved animals, especially dogs. She was artistic and creative with a vibrant imagination. She had an irresistible magnetism and uniqueness. Her most admirable quality was her unrelenting kindness. She has been through much in her life, but never allowed storms and shadows to dampen her light or her compassion.

She had her first child, Rachel Bailey, in November of 1972. She married the love of her life, James Lewis, on March 7, 1981, and gave birth to their daughter, Sarah Lewis, in August 1986. James passed away in 2013, but their legacy lives on in their loved ones.

Marilee went on to become an RN through Northern Kentucky University’s prestigious nursing program when Sarah was young. She diligently brought her light, strength, skill, and compassion to oncology patients and their families.

Marilee is survived by her daughter Rachel Bailey, and granddaughter Madison Bailey; her daughter Sarah Lewis, and granddaughters Annabelle Gordon, and Charity Gordon.

The Celebration of Life Service will be at Trinity Episcopal in Covington, Kentucky, on March 21, 2026. Time tbd. Instead of flowers, please bring your favorite dessert to share and your favorite book to swap.
