Obituary For Mark Alan Fightmaster

Mark Alan Fightmaster, 70, of Erlanger, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Born on December 6, 1955, he was the son of Earl & Betty Fightmaster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ed Fightmaster and grandson, Adrian Fundora.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy, sons Nicholas Fightmaster (Justen Scalf), Daniel Thewes (Angela), daughter, Kelly Baumgardner, brother, Keith Fightmaster, nephews, Sean Fightmaster (Katie Kocar), Brandon Fightmaster (Katie), Thor Fightmaster, grandchildren, Allison, Reid, Emma, Sophia, Jonah, great-granddaughters, Aliyah & Aria.

Mark graduated in 1974 from Dixie Heights High School and Cincinnati State Technical College in 1976. He had a long career in heavy highway construction and retired from BASF. Mark was a lifelong Bengals, Reds and UK fan and had a passion for Texas hold ’em.

Visitation will be Friday, May 8th from 10:00am -12:00pm at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017, with funeral service to follow.

The family would like to thank Dr. Eugene Chung, Christ Hospital for the years of excellent care provided and a special thank you to Megan B. of St. Elizabeth Hospice for the compassionate care during Mark’s final days.
