Martha Marie Roberts (Murphy), age 83, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, June 24, 2026.

A woman of unwavering Christian faith, Martha found great joy in God's Word, spending each day in devotion and sharing her remarkable knowledge of Scripture with others. She was a wonderful neighbor whose kindness was reflected in shared baked treats, helping hands, and lifelong friendships.

She created family memories through years of camping at General Butler State Park and found fulfillment in her career as an IRS tax auditor, where she enjoyed dressing for business work, building friendships, and returning home each day to spend time tending her beloved garden.

Above all, Martha was a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother who cherished the opportunity to love each of her grandchildren in their own unique way. Martha will be remembered for her steadfast faith, generous heart, and the love she so freely shared with her family, friends, and community.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Patti (David) Brown and Kristy Chalk; grandchildren, Jeremy Mattingly, Daniel Roberts Jr., Brett Roberts, Brittany Roberts, Rebecca Chalk, and Jacob Chalk; and great-grandchildren, Alex Mattingly, Tristan Roberts, Malia Roberts, Kyleigh Chalk, Josiah Sewell, Dawson Sewell, and Owen Roberts.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home from 10 am to 12 noon. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, in Ft. Mitchell KY where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bob Roberts.
