Obituary For Marvin Eugene Lowe

Marvin Eugene Lowe, 87, of Burlington, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at his residence.

Marvin was a retired Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for 21 years, including two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. Following his military retirement, he worked for 17 years as a Communications Specialist with Cincinnati Bell.

Throughout his working years, Marvin also worked in cargo for Delta Air Lines and as a bus driver for Boone County Schools, retiring from each position.

Marvin was a man of faith, and a member and Deacon of Hebron Baptist Church. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, watching old television Westerns, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He had a particular fondness for baseball hats and enjoyed building a large collection. He also never turned down a good hamburger! Later in life, Marvin became a member of Disabled American Veterans Post #19.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alma Lowe; sisters, Juanita Lowe and Minnie Fay Page; brothers, James Lowe, Thomas Lowe, and Melvin “Pete” Lowe; and great-granddaughter, Maggie Rose Lowe.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 64 years, Brenda Arrant Lowe; children, Lisa Klein, Kim Eicher (Mark), and James Lowe (Lisa R.); siblings, Betty Sue Pittman (Irby), Eva Sherill, Martha Wolfle, and Roger Lowe; grandchildren, Ryan Lowe, Megan Eicher, Chelsea Sipple (Brad), Ben Eicher (Ari), Jayden Lowe (Xander), Joe Klein (Samantha), and Kayla Swensen; and great-grandchildren, Lillian, Liam, Wyatt, Leeland, and Easton.

Services for Marvin will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment, with military honors, will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in memory of Maggie Rose, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
