Obituaries

Mary A. Tidwell age 92, of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 13, 1934 to John W. and Alice Martha Austin (nee Cecil).

She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Meadows; mother, Alice Martha Austin; daughter, Diana L. Reagan; son, Dennis M. Slone; and granddaughter, Bridget N. Ford.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Virginia L. Ford; sisters Helen Austin and Phyllis (Dave) Ford; granddaughters, Amanda M. (Timothy) Hill and Heather L. (John) Martin; grandsons, Joshua Fox and Dale Campbell; and great-grandchildren Madalyn, Ellie, Kole, Emilynn, Johnny, and Angelesa.

Mary was a talented artist with a natural eye for beauty and creativity. She loved dressing well and had a special talent for finding beautiful things at affordable prices. Her creativity extended beyond art and fashion, as she had a remarkable ability to transform any room or celebration into something special, often using very little. She could make something beautiful out of almost nothing, a gift that reflected her resourcefulness and artistic spirit. She also had a deep love for dogs, especially her beloved Sheltie, Cody, who always held a special place in her heart.

Please join the family for an open house, celebration of life on October 24th from 1 to 4, with a memorial service at 2pm, 3118 Stoneridge Drive, Edgewood Ky.
