Obituaries

Mary “Janet” Rolf (nee Heringhaus), 92 years of age, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was a member of St. Agnes Church for 63 years.

Janet was a member of the “Movie Club”, whose members received many “strange” looks when 13 women dressed in the same shirts walked down the aisle at a local theater. She especially looked forward to the many trips they took together, and the Academy Award party, where each person dressed as a star from the past.

In her adult years, Janet took up golf and tennis and spent many years helping with the Ft. Mitchell Country Club “In the Pink” tournament. She enjoyed lunches with her LaSalette friends, Sundays in the summer with Ludlow Vets friends, and yearly vacations to Siesta Key, FL. Janet found great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved attending all their sporting events.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband William Rolf (2023), and many beloved family members.

She is survived by sons David (Jackie) Rolf, and Tom Rolf; daughter, Karen Rolf; sister-in-law, Mary Sue Lewis; grandchildren, Ben (Kelsey) Studer, Matthew (Emily) Rolf, Jacob Studer, Joe (Theresa) Studer, Will Rolf, Katie Rolf, and 4 great-grandchildren, Boone, Bennett, Ella, and Grayson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright, Ky. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, KY 41011. Entombment will take place at Mother of God Cemetery Mausoleum, Latonia, KY.
