Obituary For Mary Lee Cordell
Mary Lee Cordell, 49, of Newport, KY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Mary was the daughter of David Jackson and Donna (Lakes) McNew.
She worked as an Investigator for the Department of Labor. Mary loved spending time with her family, her beloved family dog, Maverick and had a strong interest in politics, and was a devoted supporter of Donald Trump.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Jackson, and her stepfather, Carl McNew.
She is survived by her mother, Donna McNew; her daughters, Felicia (Alexander) Fletcher, Tammy (Andrew) Long, and Skylar Prouty; her grandson, Wesley Earl Fletcher; her sisters, Paula (Julie) McNew and Melissa (Glen) Fulmer; and her brothers, Gary McNew and Danny (Melinda) McNew.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, KY, on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private for the family.
