Obituary For Melba Renee Lovelace
Melba Renee Lovelace, age 71, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026. She was born in Covington, Kentucky, on January 26, 1955, to the late Melvin Lovelace and Esther (Daugherty) Lovelace.
A proud graduate of Boone County High School, Class of 1973, Melba went on to build a dedicated career as a budget officer before her retirement. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and the quiet kindness she showed to those around her.
Melba found great joy in caring for animals and had a deep love for reading and sewing. She appreciated life’s simple pleasures and will be fondly remembered for her compassionate heart and the warmth she brought to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Lovelace and Raymond Lovelace.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017.
