Obituary For Melissa Ann Bauer
Melissa Ann Bauer, 65, of Highland Heights, Kentucky passed away at home on March 26, 2026. She was the daughter of Richard Frank and Joan Clair (Shearer) Trauth.
Melissa was the owner of Watch UR Dog Daycare in Highland Heights where she loved on everyone’s dog like they were her own, and a member of the Bad Ass B Girls. Her most important role was being the Mawmaw to her 2 grandchildren Zoe and Aurora. They brought her so much joy and love. Melissa also loved going to Florida and enjoying the sun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David “Homer” Trauth, and Mike Bauer.
She is survived by her significant other Steve Arrowood; sons Eric (Sarah) Bauer, Jacob Smithers; brothers Rick (Joyce) Trauth and Jeff Trauth; grandchildren Zoe and Aurora Bauer; nieces and nephews Ryan (Heather) Trauth, Rachel (Adam) Caswell, Nicole Bauer, Jessica (Brian) Bornhorst, Danny Bauer, Sam Bauer, Christopher Bauer, Jason Bauer, Bryan Bauer, Trevor Schwartz, Tyler Bauer and Matthew Bauer; brothers-in-law David (Debbie) Bauer and Sammy (Jackie) Bauer and sister-in-law Karen Bauer.
A visitation will be held on Sunday March 29, 2026, at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria, from 4:00- 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s in Alexandria at 10:30am.
