Obituary For Michael Edward Donlin

Michael Edward Donlin, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on September 11, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky. He was born on September 21, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky.

Michael was an agent with the IRS and was known as a man who was strong in his beliefs, competitive, and deeply devoted to the people he loved most. A history buff with a love for sports of all kinds, he found great enjoyment in both following the games he loved and taking part in them. He coached some of his son’s teams while they were growing up, and in later years he especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sports games. He also enjoyed golf, nothing beat a day out on the course. Above all else, Michael loved his family, and his family was his proudest accomplishment.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Donlin, née Carroll; sons, Michael E. (Tina) Donlin, II and Matthew (Robin) Donlin; his grandchildren, Reese Donlin, Lexi Donlin, Luke Donlin and Elijah Donlin; his brother William B. (Kathleen) Donlin; and a host of extended family and friends. The love of family was at the center of Michael’s life, and those who knew him will remember the pride he took in each of them and the joy he found in their lives and accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Donlin, and his mother, Marian Donlin, née Dee.

Visitation will be held on September 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.

Michael will be remembered for his devotion to family, his competitive spirit, his love of sports and history, and the steady convictions that shaped his life. His memory will remain a lasting presence in the hearts of those who loved him.
