Obituaries

Michael James Sizemore, age 75 of Lexington, KY, passed after a short illness on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, while vacationing in Clearwater, Florida. Michael is a retired Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Parachuting Unit in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Michael graduated from Thomas More University, and taught school in Northern Kentucky. He was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian Church. Michael was a vivid reader, loved UK sports and the Cincinnati Bengals, and enjoyed going to the dog park to be around the dogs, but most of all, he loved his family. Michael is survived by his wife, Kathy Barbara Sizemore; his son, Stephen Walter Sizemore (Nicole Lynch); his two sisters, Kristi Sizemore Boberg and Yvonne Sizemore Burkart, both of Northern Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Madelyn Sizemore. A graveside service will be held at the Lexington Cemetery, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:30am conducted by Christian Science Reader Colleen Gehlbach.
