Obituary For Michael McQueary

Michael "Mike" McQueary, 79, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Veterans Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. Mike was born on April 22, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971.

Mike retired from Cincinnati Bell after 30 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he served the Campbell County School District as a school bus driver for eight years. Mike was a faithful member of Plum Creek Christian Church where he volunteered. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved boating, scuba diving, camping, fishing, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar McQueary.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Connie (née McLaren) McQueary; children, Monica (née McQueary) Azimi (Ibrahim) and Brian Michael McQueary (Alysia Hayslip); mother, Beatrice "Bea" (née Williams) McQueary; sister, Sandy Bunting (Bob); and three cherished grandchildren: Seth Michael McQueary, Ella Rose Azimi, and Malia Lynn Azimi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Alexandria Funeral Home, located at 325 Washington Street, Alexandria, Kentucky 41001. Funeral services will begin there at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Douglas Hartley officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Alexandria Cemetery, located at 7 Spillman Drive, Alexandria, Kentucky 41001.
