Obituary For Nancy Bridges
Nancy Bridges (née Macon), 87, of Lakeside Park, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Nancy was born to the late Max and Marjory Macon in Louisville, KY. She was a devoted homemaker and loving wife to her husband, John, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Nancy was very creative and found great joy in needlepoint, cross-stitch, and knitting. She had a special love for cats, especially her beloved cat, Zoie. She also enjoyed games and card games, with Bridge being a favorite of hers.
For many years, Nancy and John shared a love of houseboating at Lake Cumberland, where they spent summers and made cherished memories beginning in the 1970s. Those years on the lake became an important and treasured part of their life together.
Nancy especially loved the holidays and looked forward to gathering with family. She was lovingly known as “Nan” to her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Marjory.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John Bridges; children, Keith (Wendy) Bridges and Jill (John) Lowry; grandchildren: Jessica Lowry (Myles Homan), Jack Lowry (Heather Jarvis) and Jordan Bridges (Will Leanhart); and brother, Max “Rod” (Susie) Macon.
A celebration of life for Nancy will be held at a later date.
