Obituary For Neil Eugene Tackett
Neil Eugene Tackett, 73, of Crittenden, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, April 2, 2026. He was born in Hamilton County, Ohio, to his late parents, Vernon Dean Tackett and Inna Mae Works Tackett.
Neil’s life will be celebrated by his loving wife, Candice Tackett; his children, Stephen Tackett (Victoria), Whitney Lebron (John), and Katie McManus; his grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, & Tristan Tackett, Kira Lebron, Jade, J.R., & Lisa Freeman, and Angela Carr; her great granddaughter, Della Durbin; his sisters, Sandy and Tammy; and his brother, Fred.
Neil was a career member of the United States Navy, as a Command Master Chief, serving in Vietnam and supporting Operation Desert Storm. He was a gun enthusiast and an avid rock collector. Neil lived his Catholic faith as a member of St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. He proudly supported many military and veteran organizations.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow with full military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, Kentucky, at 1:00 p.m.
