Neil “Skip” Caldwell lived life with gusto and a spirit that left a lasting impression all who knew and loved him. He passed away after a prolonged illness on May 16, 2026.

He is remembered by his wife, Mary Walsh; his children, Rebecca Caldwell, Chris Caldwell, and Chad Caldwell; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Rick Caldwell, Nick Caldwell, Terry Sue Axselle, and Mary Jo Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Betty Caldwell, and his son, Jeff Caldwell.

A devoted Cleveland Browns fan, Skip remained steadfast through every season—celebrating the highs, weathering the lows, and never losing hope for next year. He found joy in life’s simple moments, especially those spent with his beloved dogs—Bear, Dexter, and Annie—and his grand-dogs, Charlie and Gigi, who never had to wonder where to go when it was time for a treat. His grand-dog Lucy, who shared his love for bologna, predeceased him.
