Norman Arthur August Guttke Jr. of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 25th, 2024 at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Edgewood, KY with his loving wife of 62 years by his side. He was born on January 21, 1938 in Michigan City, Indiana.

He grew up in Forest Park, IL and graduated from Proviso High School in 1956. Norm served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1964.

Norm and Donna Francis married in 1962, together they settled in Hoffman Estates, IL where they lived for over 43 years. He was a small business owner and worked in the paint industry for 48 years. Norm and Donna retired and moved to Florence, KY in 2006.

Norm was a gentle, kind soul and a man of great faith. He will be remembered for his woodworking and Christmas Nativity Scenes. Family was the center of his world, he took immense pride in the lives of his grandchildren.

Norman was proceeded in death by his parents Irene and Norman Guttke Sr., siblings Donald Guttke, Glorine Schieler and Junette Camp, and grandson Maxwell Alan Guttke. He is survived by his wife Donna Guttke; daughter Beth (Jon) LaBree of Florence, KY; son Marc (Amanda nee Stout) Guttke of Hampshire, IL and grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Adam and Alex LaBree and Madigan, Delanie and Avery Guttke.

A celebration of life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
