Norman “Norm” Roemer, 74, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026. Norm was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his generous spirit, love of family, and dedication to his community.

Throughout his professional career, Norm was instrumental in starting the co-op program between LexisNexis and Sinclair Community College, helping create opportunities for students to gain valuable experience and begin their careers.

Norm was a man who believed in giving back to his community in many ways. He was a member of the American Chestnut Club, Moose Lodge, First Church of Christ, and The Old Ford Truck Club. At First Church of Christ, he also proudly served on the safety committee. Norm had a passion for classic trucks and was honored with a prestigious award at the Cavalcade of Customs show.

When Norm and Linda lived in Mason, Ohio, he made a lasting impact on the community by starting the Mason Community Garden. The garden continues to thrive today, carrying on a piece of Norm’s legacy. He also enjoyed coaching many of his children’s sports teams and took great pride in encouraging young people and being involved in their lives.

Following his retirement, Norm and Linda moved to Burlington Kentucky where they opened their heart and home to others as a foster parent for many years.

Norman is survived by his wife, Linda Roemer; daughter, Amy J. (Ray) Miller; son, Stephen J. Roemer; stepdaughters, Allison (Tom) Wilker of Erlanger, Kentucky, Shannon (Larry) Derenge of Louisville, Kentucky, and Millinda (Jacob) Fowles of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Cpt. Jessie (Tyler) Patterson of Ramstein AB, Germany, Justin (Lindsey) Miller of Savannah, Georgia, Elliot Wilker, Andrew Wilker; Stella, Lila Jane, Blair, Lauren and Lindsey Derenge and Cecilia Fowels; and one great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Lillian Roemer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20th, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm. Norm will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NECCO Foster Kids of Florence, Kentucky, or Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
