Obituary For Oneida Ruth Young
Oneida Ruth Young, 66, of Dayton, passed away on June 25, 2026. She was the daughter of Herman Young and Ruth Winkle.
She was a Contractor for Duke as a CAD operator. She enjoyed doing things with her friends, vacations on the beach and camping. Oneida also loved the Cincinnati Reds.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Herman (Sonny) Young Jr and Jeff Young.
She is survived by her loving husband Mark McElhinney, sisters Roberta (Don) Smith and Mahala Gilene, as well as her puppies Max and Maggie.
Burial will be private to the family.

Dear Family of Oneida, Oneida was a friend of mine from Duke Energy. I had not seen her since I retired, but I appreciated her friendship. Everyone from work that we mutually knew thought the world of her. I am so sorry for the loss of a lovely person. Sincerely, Kim Cueto
