Obituary For Pamela Jean Simonson
Pamela Jean Simonson, nee Bemerer, age 68, passed away peacefully with her loving husband and devoted daughters at her side as the sun set on February 2, 2024. Born August 13, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Laura and Donald “Sam” Rottert. She attended Oak Hills High School where she fell in love with a boy named Greg from Elder. They married on June 10, 1978. Bucking tradition to stay on the West side of Cincinnati, Greg and Pam raised their three daughters in Northern Kentucky where they spent many years supporting the girls at their various activities with St. Henry. Pam was a beloved nurse for the Boone County School District for over 20 years where she then joined Greg in retirement. They bought their dream lake house at Norris Lake and lived on the water. If they weren’t “At the Lake”, you’d find her at one of the grandchildren’s activities or making quilts and Christmas stockings for Ronald McDonald House.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gregory, her daughters: Allison (John) Forbes, Kathryn (Andy) Vandiver, Marci (Brad) Rudinsky, nine grandchildren: Ryan, Emily, Victoria, Abigail, Joshua, Elijah, Cael, Mae, Ezra, siblings: Janet, Donald, Steve, Nanita, and many friends and family members.
The Simonson, Forbes, Vandiver and Rudinsky families would like to extend their gratitude to the medical staff at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital Emergency Care, Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU for their incredible around the clock care and compassion they showed Mom in her final hours.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 8:30am to 10:30am at Linnemann Funeral Home (1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005). Mass will follow at 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (5876 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005). Memorial contributions can be made in Pam’s name to the Ronald McDonald House.
