Obituary For Patricia Ann Pate
Patricia “Pat” Ann Pate, age 88, passed away on March 18, 2026, at Majestic Care in Fairfield, Ohio, just one day after celebrating her 88th birthday on March 17, a proud St. Patrick’s Day baby.
Pat was born in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Minor Spelman Daugherty and Cora Bell (née Freeman) Daugherty. Pat was a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan and she also held the honor of being a Kentucky Colonel.
She had a gift in the kitchen and was especially known for her beautifully baked and decorated cakes, lovingly made for birthdays, showers, and special occasions of all kinds. Pat also had a deep love for animals and opened her heart and home to many dogs over the years, often adopting from the SPCA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Connie Lynn Jennings; her beloved husband, Charles Pate; her brother, John Daugherty; and her sister, June Smith.
Pat is survived by her sons, Mark (Barbara) Jennings and Troy Jennings; her grandchildren, Kristen (Matthew) Klenke and Tyler Jennings; her sister, Marie Morrison; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, Kentucky, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery.
