Obituary For Patricia Selzer Sensel
Patricia “Pat” Selzer Sensel, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul and Emma Lou Selzer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Leo Edward Sensel.
Pat was a devoted mother to her five daughters, Anne Graham (Steve), Beth Hart (Bill), Meg King (Kyle), Kate Hamilton (Steve), and Amy Aubry (Robert), who were the pride and joy of her life. A dedicated homemaker, she centered her life on caring for her family and creating a home filled with love and support. She is also survived by her siblings: Paul Selzer (Kathy), Jack Selzer (Linda), the late Bill Selzer, Mary Sexton (Dick), Peggy Gleason (Tim), Jane Smith, and Cathy Thomas (Steve). Pat was also the proud grandmother of seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great happiness.
A devout Catholic, Pat was a faithful member of St. Pius X Parish for more than fifty years. Her faith guided her life and shaped the compassion and generosity she extended to others. She cherished time spent with friends and family, including lunches with her Sacred Heart friends, Friday cards, gatherings with the “Tuesday Night” group, dinners with the “Alaska group,” and many special moments with her grandchildren.
Pat was a talented seamstress and crafter who especially enjoyed transforming heirloom jewelry into treasured art pieces. She often used her creativity to support charitable causes that helped feed the hungry and create opportunities for others. She also co-founded a gymnastics studio where she helped many children build confidence, discipline, and strong character.
Pat will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, generous heart, and the powerful way she lived her faith each day. Her legacy lives on in her family and in the many lives she touched through her kindness, creativity, and service.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12th from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St. Pius X Church 348 Dudley Rd. Edgewood, KY 41017.
