Paul Eric Fichlie, 80, of Covington, passed away on April 21, 2026 at Ivy Knoll Assisted Living in Covington, KY. He was born in Covington to the late Paul and Betty (nee Hainley) Fichlie.

Paul was a Machinist with R A Jones for 33 years before retiring. He served in the United States Navy. Paul loved working on cars, home rehabs and driving his friends from Ivy Knoll around.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janice (nee Losey) Fichlie on May 31, 2003.

Paul is survived by his sons, Chris (Anu) Fichlie and Jeff (Margie) Fichlie, his daughter, Julia (Jeff) Hester, his brother, Rolf (Carol) Fichlie; his sister, Lynn (Gary) Blattman, 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, (241 Fairfield Ave.) in Bellevue, KY. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. Paul will be laid to rest in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Kenton County Animal Services 1020 Mary Laidley Drive Covington, KY 41017 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
