Obituary For Paul Ethan Rogers

Paul Ethan Rogers, 89, of Union, KY passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, KY, surrounded by his family.

Paul retired in 2009 from Quatros Vending, a company he co-founded. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force, a proud University of Kentucky Graduate and member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, an avid Reds fan, and was past President of the Boone County Jaycees. Paul split his time between Florida and Kentucky and had many friends and family in both places. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. Paul was a fantastic Southern cook. He loved nothing more than preparing a full spread on Sunday and sharing dinner with family. His fried chicken, country ham and famous yeast rolls were hard to beat.

Paul was a passionate UK basketball fan and loved to travel to tournament games. He attended his last game in December 2023. His last act was driving to Turfway Park and placing a bet on the UK Mississippi game for himself and a friend. He won the bet.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Harold “Bucky” and Hilda Rogers (nee Aylor); and his siblings, Vaughn Rogers and Mary Sue Rudicill.

He is survived by his loving children, Paul Ethan Rogers II (Karen), Annette Shepherd (Ashley), Mark Rogers (Mary) and stepdaughter Casey Griffin (Jimmie); and his sisters, Charlotte Taylor and Marty Blazie (Deane).

Paul also leaves behind his grandchildren, Abby Rubich (Josh), Paul Ethan Rogers III (Kayla), Alexander Rogers, Lottie Shepherd, Jas Shepherd, and Rex Rogers; and his great-grandchildren, Tennie Rubich, Cela Rubich, Sloane Rubich, Broxdon Rogers, and Paul Ethan Rogers IV.

A visitation will be on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 12:00PM-2:00PM at Belleview Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM at the church. He will be laid to rest at Belleview Cemetery

Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Episcopal Church
