Paul W. Arlinghaus Jr., 72, passed from this life peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on May 21, 2026.

He is survived by Pattie, his loving wife of 48 ½ years; beloved daughter, Monica (Chris) Wolfe; grandchildren, Delaney, Ryan and Evan Wolfe; sister, Susan Hoffman; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Chris (Bill) Barry, Vicky Gammon, Tommy Gammon, and Carol (Marc) Collins; as well as his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, JoAnn and Paul Arlinghaus Sr. and his brothers-in-law Mark Hoffman and Tim Gammon.

Paul was a Master Plumber, working with his father and as owner of Paul Arlinghaus Plumbing. He was well known for making candy wreaths at Christmastime, which brought joy to many. He was a gambling man! He loved playing cards and was good at it! For many years, Paul was a member of St. Joseph (Crescent Springs) Holy Name Society, the Happy Timers, and Pee Wee’s Prayer Group. He was an avid fan of the Reds and Bengals, even braving the legendary Freezer Bowl in 1982.

His grandchildren were the joy and light of his life.

Visitation will be held at St. Barbara Church (4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY 41018) on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 9:00-10:00 AM to be followed by Mass. A reception will be held at St. Barbara’s Sterling Center after Mass. Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Barbara Youth Group and Hospice of St. Elizabeth (483 S. Loop Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017).
