Obituary For Peggy Ann Fugazzi

Peggy Ann Fugazzi (née Donaworth), 84, of Erlanger, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2026.

Born to Victor and Emma Donaworth (née Wilzbach), Peggy came from a large and loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her nine siblings, Victor Donaworth, James “Jimmy” Donaworth, Paul Donaworth, Mildred Foltz, Dorothy Kremer, Ruth Hampton, Lorna Kathman, Margie Birkett, and Betty Henry; her beloved grandson, Jackson Hillman; and her husbands, Joseph Hillman and Karl Wissmann, the fathers of her children.

Peggy’s memory lives on through her children: Jodie Watkins (Richard), Andy Hillman (Starr), Brian Hillman (Kelly), Michael Wissmann (Nikki), and Kristina Goodridge (née Wissmann). She is also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as “MeeMaw.”

Peggy was a friend to all—someone who never met a stranger, and whose door was always open to family, friends, and neighbors alike. While her life may have been simple in many ways, it was also deeply rich, meaningful, and well lived. She found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved and who loved her in return. At the Colony in Latonia, Peggy was known as a joyful party planner and spirited host, bringing people together with warmth and enthusiasm. Her presence there—and everywhere—will be profoundly missed.

When she wasn’t at home or with loved ones, Peggy could often be found enjoying a lively game of bingo, one of her favorite pastimes. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, connection, joy, and faith that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Henry Roman Catholic Church in Elsmere, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m.
