Phyllis Mae Trotter, 85, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Born in Meta, Kentucky, in February 1941, Phyllis lived a life centered on faith, family, and serving others.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeff Trotter; her sisters, Dorothy Gifford, Mary Trickel, and Geneva Gerding; and her brother, Ray Rogers.

Phyllis is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Donald Trotter; her daughter, Melenda Guenther (Tom); her grandchildren, Kyle Begley, Andrew Guenther, and Erica Mahar; her great-grandchildren, Vanessa Taylor, Landin Begley, Brantley Begley, Leighton Guenther, Molly Mahar, and Lainey Guenther; and her siblings, Dolores Perry, Dolly Baldwin, Linda McEntire, Patty Corbin, and Clifford Rogers.

Phyllis found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved searching for treasures at Goodwill stores and yard sales, enjoyed traveling, and stayed active as a member of the YMCA's Silver Sneakers program. She also generously gave her time as a volunteer with United Ministries, where she faithfully served alongside others to help those in need. Her kind heart, warm spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Hwy. 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Burlington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Ministries, 525 Graves Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
