Rachael Ann Fey, of Florence, age 45, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 3, 1978. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Steinhoff Fey, her grandparents, Millard and Eunice Steinhoff, Robert and Mary Ellen Fey and her aunt, Ramona Steinhoff Warner. Rachael was a 1996 graduate of Boone County High School, a member of the Rebel Brigade Marching Band all four years. She attended NKU where she obtained a master’s degree in child and human services. She worked in the childcare industry until February 2022 when she was diagnosed with ALS. Rachael did not let her disability keep her down, her love for fast roller coasters she shared with her daughter, Annabeth and her love for country music had her in Nashville every June for the CMA Fest with her family; it was her favorite vacation spot. Her favorite country artist was Eric Church. This past June 2023 was the last time she visited Nashville. Having ALS couldn’t keep her away. She is survived by her loving daughter, Annabeth Elise Lewis; father, Robert “Bob” Fey; cousins, Donna (Tom) Robinson, Capt. Matthew Warner; great uncle, Mike (Stacey) Hinchey and their daughter, Michelle and several other cousins and relatives who will cherish her memory. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10 AM – 12 PM with a memorial service celebrating Rachael’s life following at 12 PM at Florence Christian Church. A luncheon will immediately follow at the church. Memorials in Rachael’s name can be made to the ALS Association.
