Rick Franxman, 65, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 17, 2026.

Known for his unforgettable laugh and vibrant spirit, Rick touched many lives with his sense of humor and wisdom. He was endlessly curious about the world around him and never stopped learning. His perseverance and tenacity will live on in those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rick found joy in the friendships he made on the golf course and around the pool table. Music was a lifelong passion, from his early days playing bass in a rock band to strumming guitar and singing through the years. He loved to cook elaborate meals, perfect his recipes, and cheer on the Cincinnati Bengals and Kentucky Wildcats. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and beloved pets.

Rick’s legacy will live on with his wife, Lisa Franxman; daughter, Alisha (Franxman) Shereen; sister, Tammy Abdon; brother Dale Franxman; and their loving families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Judy Franxman. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 11AM-1PM with a service to follow at 1PM at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m.at Boone Links Golf & Event Center.
