Obituary For Robert B. DePue

Robert B. DePue, 83, of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at StoryPoint Senior Living in Walton, Kentucky.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 10, 1943, Robert was the son of the late Bud and Rose (née Baitz) DePue. He graduated from Roger Bacon High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army for more than three years during the post-Korean War era.

Bob loved calling Rabbit Hash home. Living along the Ohio River brought him tremendous joy. He was a devoted Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Timothy Church. Together with his beloved wife, Joyce, he was actively involved with the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue Our Lady of Fatima Tour for Peace, often opening their home to the statue’s custodian during its visits. He especially enjoyed gathering with fellow parishioners on his deck to pray the Rosary, sharing in the fellowship and faith that meant so much to him.

Above all else, Bob was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce DePue.

He is survived by his loving children, Denise (Ron) Huening, Melissa Elleman, Rob (Carrie) DePue, and Lauren (Lance) Ward; his cherished grandchildren, Jared (Jenna) Elleman, Amanda Huening, Sarika Elleman, Bobby DePue, Charlie DePue, and Timmy DePue; his brother, Gene (Joyce) DePue; his half-brother, Jim (Laura) DePue; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass celebrating Bob’s life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at St. Timothy Church, Union, Kentucky. 11am Visitation, 11:30am Mass, followed by Military Honors and a reception in the church hall.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Elizabeth Hospice, Select Hospice Programs, or St. Timothy Parish.
