Obituary For Robert Gene Thomas, Jr.
Robert “Bobby” Gene Thomas Jr., 62, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on October 21, 2026. He was the son of Robert Thomas Sr. and Wanda Fay Simmons.
Robert was a proud graduate of Campbell County High School, where he was a student and played on the football team. He worked many years as a Machine Operator for Printers Bindery.
He loved to travel with his wife on their Harley, exploring new places and making memories together. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Robert had a huge heart and a kind soul, always showing love and support to his family and friends. He found joy in the simple things – spending time with his loved ones, watching old western movies, and enjoying country bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Betty Jo Thomas in 2022.
He leaves behind his children Bobby Thomas Jr. (Hosanna), Latisha Thomas, Sara Thomas, Shelby Thomas (Austin Gardner), Steven Townsend and Raven Caudill; brother Ben Thomas and grandchildren Brian, Adrienne, Carson, Josie, Raylee, Luka, Myles, Nicky, and Henry.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4pm-7pm. Service will begin at 7pm. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 11am at Brown and Strong Cemetery.
Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
