Obituary For Robert Paul Richmond
Robert Paul Richmond, age 86, passed away on February 19, 2026, at Woodcrest Nursing Center in Elsmere, Kentucky.
He was born on November 29, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William F. Richmond and Mary P. Cardella. The youngest of three children, Robert spent most of his life in Cincinnati and graduated from Withrow High School in 1960.
Shortly after graduation, Robert proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served four years as a Sergeant, with assignments in California and Okinawa, Japan. His service to his country remained one of the great honors of his life.
Robert married his first wife, Gloria, and together they had three children. Later, he married the love of his life, Alice Waits-Richmond, and they shared 35 devoted years together, building a life centered on faith, family, and companionship.
In later years, Robert made his home in Mt. Orab, Ohio, where he faithfully attended Mt. Orab Church of Christ. He was deeply involved in his community and served as Governor of the Lions Club, reflecting his leadership and dedication to service. He was also very active in the Honor Guard, where he proudly helped celebrate and honor the lives of fellow veterans, ensuring they received the respect and recognition they deserved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William “Frank” Richmond; his sister, Rosemary Smith Leibrock; his son, Richard; and his great-grandson, Antonio.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Alice Waits-Richmond; his children, Debbie Larson and Robert Richmond Jr.; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of service, leadership, faith, and devotion to family and country.
