Obituary For Robert White

Robert F. White, age 86, born and raised in Independence, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. He will always be remembered for his love of family, and his determination.

A Kentucky Colonel, attendee of Grassy Creek Christian Church, previous member of the Democratic Club and the nickel, dime, & quarter club. For nearly 30 years he served Kenton County; working for the County Road and Bridge, overseeing Kenton County Parks, and as a bricklayer. He enjoyed this work in the community and made many friends and lasting relationships.

Robert’s friends were often astounded at his craft in trains. He transitioned space in his home to a full-size train depot, operating 20 trains at once. This hobby is one that he included friends and family in. He and his brother-in-law, Kevin, would spend Saturdays at flea markets with their eye on the perfect piece to add to his collection.

More than anything, family brought joy to Robert. He adored his wife, Reva for over 60 years. Together they raised their sweet daughter, Tami, and later in life they were gifted with their grandson, Cole. Robert poured into his family his wisdom and love of life. From early ages Robert took his kin alongside his daily tasks at home and taught them lessons. He was happy to plan for his family’s future- providing his daughter and grandson with their first cars. He was a car connoisseur!

Preceded in death are Robert’s parents; Robert and Alma White, brothers; Jake, Fred, and Jessie White, sister; Libby Clark, stepfather; Oscar Grimes, and sister-in-law; Lynn Price.

Left to mourn his loss are his wife; Reva White nee Pike, daughter; Tamara (Jerry) Wendeln, grandson; Cole (Marie) Wendeln, brother; William (Linda) White, brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas (Brenda) Pike, Kevin (Sandy) Pike, and Debbie Morgan.

Please join family and friends at a visitation and funeral service to honor Robert. Visitation will begin at 12:30pm at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Service will immediately follow at 1:30pm.
