Obituary For Rory Ilise Hawkins

Rory Ilise Hawkins, 55, of Ft Thomas, KY passed away on May 28, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Kenneth McKenna and Sheredith Bennett.

Rory found joy in all things crafting and had a special talent for creating beautiful things with her hands. When she wasn't working on a craft project or tending to her plants, she cherished spending time with her friends.

Above all, Rory's greatest love was her family. She adored her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews with all her heart and brought warmth, laughter, and love to those fortunate enough to know her. Her kind spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Kayla Hawkins and Gabirelle Hawkins; son, Cole Greenman; stepdad, Gary Girkin; sisters, Tara Schuchter, Feather Girkin, and Tiffany Girkin; grandchildren, Jace, Geno, Alanis and Cora; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 4pm-7pm. Services will begin at 7pm. Burial will be private to the family.

I met Rory through Bluestar- my favorite memory is the 1st time I came to her house with my eldest daughter; Rory answered the door on roller skates! She was a hoot!! She had a wealth of knowledge, was always straight to the point - probably the realist person I've ever known. She loaned me tile cutting tools for our kitchen DIY & was very matter-of-fact in how to use them efficiently. IYKYK She adored her grandchildren & was such a bright light when she brought them to our family work events. Rest in power, Rory. ((Hugs))
