Obituary For Rose Stenger

Rose Stenger, age 84, of Elsmere, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving
family.

For many years, she and her late husband, Thomas, were heavily involved as band parents at
Holmes High School. Rose’s incredible talent as a seamstress shone through her crafting of flags
and color guard uniforms as well as altering, fitting and maintaining the band uniforms. These
many hours of service had a lasting impact on countless young people. They also shared a love
of golf, playing regularly at Twin Oaks and Brightleaf.

In addition to her husband, Thomas Stenger, Rose is preceded in death by her daughter,
Rebekah Tribble, her brother, Ed Schulker, and her grandson, Maverick.

An avid gardener, Rose found joy in cultivating her beloved flowers, which reflected her green
thumb.

In the late 1990s, Rose embraced her faith, converting to Catholicism and finding solace in her
newfound spiritual journey. Her deep love for her family was evident in everything she did; she was a
devoted mother whose unwavering support inspired her children and grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her loving children- Dan (Pam) Stenger, Tim (Cindy) Stenger, Debbie Huston,
and her grandchildren- Allie, Amanda, Brianna, Brooke, Bailey, David, James, Nikki, Pam, Sarah,
and Zach, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She will be remembered not only for her
incredible talents but the memories she helped to create.

A graveside service will be held for Rose on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Independence Cemetery at 11:00am.
