Obituary For Roy F. Rauen
Roy F. Rauen, 85, of Highland Heights, passed away May 23, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 18, 1940, Roy lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and deep family values. For 45 years, he was a proud and reliable employee of the Kroger Company, where his steady work ethic and genuine care for others earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Roy found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports, cheering them on with pride. He cherished taking educational vacations that fed his curiosity about the world, and he spent countless peaceful hours tending to his gardens, nurturing them with the same patience and devotion he gave to the people he loved.
Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna (née Cline) Rauen; his parents, Joseph and Cornelia (née Bilz) Rauen; his son-in-law, Wilfrid Jean; his sisters, Dolorose Smith, Dorothy Simpson, Mary Allen, Aileen Judd, and Mildred Fangman; and his brother, Raymond Rauen.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Rauen; his children Patricia (Chris) Fryer, Karen Rauen-Jean, Kathleen (Michael) Lemmons, Steve Rauen, Michelle (Brad) McDaniel, and Michael (Shanna) Rauen; his grandchildren C.J. (Danielle) Fryer, Matt Fryer, Brittany Fryer, Jenna Fryer, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Thomas, Sean (Peyton) Lemmons, Jerrid Matt, Braden McDaniel, Alaina McDaniel, Nolan McDaniel, Jade (Jacob) Lamb, Logan Rauen, Cameron Rauen, & Benjamin Rauen, and his great-grandchildren Penelope, Sawyer, Scarlett & Julian Fryer, Kennedy, Lennon & Brooks Thomas, and Nora & Gavin Lemmons, all of whom will carry forward his spirit, his values, and the love he so generously shared.
