Obituaries

Ruth Ann Krebs, 96, of Southgate KY, gracefully gained her eternal rest on May 23, 2026.

Ruth was born July 15, 1929 in Newport, KY to the late William Wagner and Elizabeth (nee: Simon) Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Stanley M. Krebs; sister, Mary (Ralph) Schilling; brothers, Bill Wagner, Jim (Becky) Wagner, & Chester Wagner; brothers-in-law, George (Tootie) Krebs and Rev. Paul F. Krebs; and sister-in-law, Pat Wagner.

She and Stan raised five children, Mike (Lois) Krebs, Judy (Don) Gamble, Tom (Connie) Krebs, Patty (Alan) Feldman, and Denise Krebs-Schry. Her greatest joy was her ever growing family, with twelve grandchildren, Greg, Stacy, Geoff, Stephanie, Ryan, Scott, Troy (Ruth's angel grandchild), Lauren, Michael, Anna, Patrick, & Mitchel and eighteen great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by her brothers, Joseph "Bud" Wagner, Bob (Cheri) Wagner, Sylvia Wagner along with numerous nieces and nephews of the Wagner and Krebs families of whom she was so proud.

Ruth was an active member of St. Therese Parish in Southgate, KY. She enjoyed her time there serving on the alter society and mothers club.

Being a homemaker is truly what she did best and took great pride in. Her meticulously kept home was always a place for family and friends to gather. The sound of her laughter was unmistakable at the big family gatherings she enjoyed.

Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 South Ft. Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Monday, June 1, 2026, at St. Therese Church, Southgate, Kentucky, with Rev. Michael T. Grady officiating. Entombment will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
