Obituary For Samuel Branham
Samuel Branham entered heaven on July 15 at 10:30 pm. He was at his daughter’s home, surrounded by the love, laughter, tears and prayers of his family. Sam grew up the son of a Baptist preacher and a school teacher. He was the apple of his mother’s eye. He loved sports and excelled at baseball. As an adult, he was a proud marine and married Barbara Sue Orme. He went on to build an incredible career as a talented insurance executive who defied all odds and rose to the top of his industry through his unique way of motivating people to accomplish more than they ever imagined they could. He loved coaching his son, Michael’s, sports team and was always there to cheer him across the finish line at his cross country meets. He took great pride in his daughter, Suzan and always called her his little girl. As much as he accomplished in his first 60 years, it was his last 25 years that he truly created a legacy that changed his family forever. He made peace with past mistakes, fully embraced the love and healing power of Jesus and was transformed into the most devoted and loving father and grandfather any family could wish for. He truly lived for the small moments of loving life and people. He was a friend to everyone he met and always a welcomed presence in social situations. He was willing to give without expectation of returns and relentless in his adoration and affection of his family and those he called friend. He married Jean Ann and spent twelve years enjoying dancing, socializing and growing old with her. He always said she was the sweetest person he would ever know and he loved her deeply. He will be missed and never forgotten by so many whose hearts he touched. He is preceded in death by the wife of his youth, Barbara Sue Branham, his parents, and his three siblings, Paul, Golda and Dorothy. He leaves behind his wife, Jean Ann Stith, his two children, Michael Branham and Suzan Hurley and his beloved grandchildren, Brianna, Alexis, Brandon, Julianna and Lacey. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky on Thursday, July 25. Viewing will be at 11:00 am and service will be at 11:30am followed by a military burial. Friends and extended family are welcome to attend.
