Obituary For Samuel Michael Sullivan
Samuel “Sami” Michael Sullivan, age 52, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Florence, Ky
Sami was born on July 28, 1973, in Dowagiac, Michigan. He grew up in Mason, Ohio, where he graduated from Mason High School. Guided early by a spirit of adventure and service, Sami joined the United States Army immediately after graduation, turning eighteen on the flight to Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Sami dedicated 11 years of his life to Kendall Electric, where he worked in various roles including warehouse management and later as a delivery driver. Wherever he went, he built friendships easily, leaving behind stories, laughter, and genuine connections that endured.
Known in the community as Sami (GyhAmbroce), he was the owner and operator of Wandering Wyvern’s Wands and Wares. Through his booth at the Witches Market, Sami shared his craftsmanship, creating handmade walking staffs and wands. He was deeply cherished within the community for both his artistry and his generous spirit.
Sami was a proud and active member of Witches Of Triumph Circle, Eagle Valley Southwestern Inclusive Heathenry, and Raven Heart Hearth. He was known for his kindness, his love of rock collecting, and his signature color—purple—which became a quiet emblem of who he was.
He was preceded in death by his son, Zechariah.
Sami is survived by his parents Wayne and Violet Black, sons Thor Audiss (and his wife Amy Audiss), Jacob Fleig, Aron Sullivan, Brode Sullivan, and Cayden O’Sullivan; his life partner, Jacquie Skidmore; his spiritual children Kimberly M. Lewis, Shelby Skidmore, Ethan Blair, and Lacey Anne Nicole Applegate; his grandchildren Barrett Samuel Lewis, Lennox Stamper-Sullivan, Emery Stamper-Sullivan and Torin Audiss; his beloved canine companion, Snoop; his sisters Linda Smith (and spouse Michael) and Jessica Kerns (and spouse Elijah); and his nieces and nephews William Wood, Joshua Wood, Kai Kerns, Kaylee Kerns, Levi Kerns, and Madison Kerns.
Visitation will be held on February 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Allison & Rose Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, Kentucky 41015. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sami will be remembered for the warmth he carried, the communities he nurtured, and the many lives he touched simply by being himself. He will be deeply missed.
