Sara “Jean” Wilkerson, age 88 of Union, KY passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024. Jean was born on August 18, 1935 in Loganville, GA to E. Ray Moon and Mary Fulcher Moon. Jean was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church and formerly worked as a Home Economics Aide at Boone County High School and an Elementary Aide at Ockerman Elementary. Jean is preceded in death by her Husband Melvin Wilkerson who passed away in 2003 and Sister Betty Summers. Jean is survived by her Son Michael Wilkerson, Brother-in-Law Doug Wilkerson, Nieces Allison Wilkerson Page (Greg) and Brenda Agostinelli, and Nephew David Hendricks (Beth). Visitation will be from 10 AM – 12 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Union Baptist Church, 1985 Union School Road, Union, KY 41091. Jean will be buried at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Grayson, GA. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Union Baptist Church.
