Obituary For Shirlee Ann Davenport

Shirlee Ann Davenport (nee Cooper),66, of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away on May 6, 2024 at her residence, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on November 14, 1957 in Covington, KY to the late Anna Lee and John H. Cooper. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Lance Davenport.

Shirlee spent her entire working life in the insurance industry. She was an accomplished golfer, championship caliber softball player and avid traveler. She enjoyed baking treats for all occasions and giving them as gifts to her friends and colleagues. She was a life member of the PGA Tour Partners Club and longtime member of the Lago Mar Country Club.

She is survived by her brothers; Mark A. Cooper (Gina) of Covington KY, Gordon T. Cooper (Teresa) of Edgewood KY, and sister Kelly S. Bleier of Ft. Mitchell KY, also four nephews; John, Michael, Justin, and Seth, one niece; Shylo and one grandnephew; Paxton and two grandnieces; Adelyn and Makenna.

An interment ceremony will be held at 10:00am on July 12, 2024 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North/ Columbarium Wall located at 205 Eibeck Lane Williamstown, KY 41097. Her late husband Lance will be interred with military honors at the same time.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Shirlee and Lance’s name to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.

    We are sorry for your loss. May God comforts you all in your time of grief. Shirley crashed our Christmas' Eve party with baked goods! She quickly joined in the games and festivities! We enjoyed her. She was a good neighbor and we will miss her. Love, Mirva and family
