Somphone “Sophie” Vongdara, 62, of Erlanger, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Sophie was born in Vientiane, Laos, to her late parents, Phouang and Bounheuang Sithideth.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Paul Vongdara; her children, Justin Vongdara (Nicole), Jason Vongdara (Sosha), and Jasmine Vongdara; her siblings, Daungta Sithideth, Bounphet Sithideth, Khamphiou Sithideth, Khamphaeng Pasith, Phouvanh Koulavongsa, Kham Snoddy, Jay Sithideth, and, Souphin “Noi” Sithideth; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sophie had a joyful spirit and loved being surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed having fun, hosting gatherings, cooking, traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on her favorite teams, especially the Bengals and Chargers. Selfless, lively, and full of love, Sophie brought happiness to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, 645 West North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.
