Obituary For Stanley James Fugate, Sr.

Stanley James Fugate Sr., 79, of Erlanger, a devoted family man and respected professional, passed away on March 8, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 12, 1946, in Constance, Kentucky, Stanley lived a life characterized by kindness, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Stanley dedicated two decades of his career to ADP as a Purchasing Manager, where his diligence and expertise contributed significantly to the success of his team and company. His professionalism was matched only by his genuine care for others, a trait that his family will cherish and remember fondly.

A proud veteran, Stanley willingly served in the United States Air Force, where he distinguished himself as a Sergeant of the military during the Vietnam War, receiving both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his bravery and service as well as an Air Force Commendation Medal. His military dedication was a reflection of his strong character and deep-seated values.

Stanley leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Glinda Fugate; his son, Stanley (Rosemarie) Fugate Jr.; his daughter, Jenny (Michael) Moore; his sisters, Debbie Vater and Barbara (Rick) Young; and many nieces and nephews. The joy of his life extended to his grandchildren, Samantha Moore, Gaige Moore, and Joie Moore, who will forever hold onto the cherished memories they shared with their Papaw. He is also survived by his animal companions, dogs Scooter, Max, Barkley Remington, and his cats, Bo Jangles, Boudini, Theo, and Reece Buttercup.

Stanley's parents, Claude and Edith Fugate nee: Godsey, as well as his brothers, Claude and Kenneth Fugate, predeceased him. Their legacies live on through Stanley's own family and the values he instilled in them.

In remembrance of Stanley, a visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, located at 316 Elm St, Ludlow, Kentucky.
