Stephanie Kaye Schneider, 58, of Newport, KY, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on November 17, 1967, to her parents Joseph and Joyce Turner.

Stephanie was retired from the IRS, and she was a member of Taylorsport Community Church of God. Stephanie loved to travel and enjoyed her peaceful weekends in the Smokey Mountains. She enjoyed hosting friends and family for card games and game nights. Long scenic drives through the countryside, with no destination in mind. She was devoted to her faith and God, studying the word and journaling scriptures.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Schneider of 28 years. Their love and devotion to each other was one of a kind. She was also preceded in death by her father Joseph Turner, her stepfather Coleman Hensley, daughter Meghann Turner and brother Rick Turner.

She is survived by her mother Joyce Hensley, son Joseph (Molly) Merrill, brother Justin Hensley and sister-in-law and best friend Darlene Schneider, and grandchildren Justyn, Sarah, Nick, Kyle, Piper Ann, D’Angelo, Shevy and Vinny.

A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11:00am at the funeral home with the burial immediately following at Peach Grove Cemetery.
