Obituary For Stephen Joseph Lorenz
Steve was the second of Robert and Gertrude Lorenz’s ten children, a big family he loved completely. After graduating from Thomas More College, he worked in the information technology field. He retired from Fifth Third Bank after 32 years of service. Having learned handyman skills from his father and later from YouTube, Steve was never happier than when he was helping family, friends, and others in need. A humble man, his smile shone brightest when he could spend time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He loved and was greatly loved by his wife of 53 years, Jane (nee Staverman), his children: Steve, Doug (Melissa), Elizabeth, and John Lorenz, and his grandchildren: Ophelia, Judah, Zeke, and Wally Lorenz. He is survived by his siblings: Bob (Dee) Lorenz, Peggy Eilerman (Steve, dec.), Ed (Beth) Lorenz, Jean (Mike) Listerman, Terri (Bill) Manning, David (Judy) Lorenz, John (Suzanne) Lorenz, Janet Wegert, Jerry (Linda) Lorenz. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law: Bob Staverman, Jim (Ellen) Staverman, David (Kris) Staverman.
