Obituary For Sue A. Lackey
Sue A. Lackey, 76, of Melbourne, passed away on May 22, 2026 in Melbourne, KY.
She was retired from Medical Records with Mercy Health Hospital. Sue worked in admitting at St. Luke Hospital for many years. She loved spending time with her family & grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with her friends.
Sue was born on July 14, 1949 in Dayton, Kentucky to Chester Milton and Doris Lee (Cummins) Witte.
Sue is survived by her son James R. (Jennifer) Lackey, a daughter Emily (Matt) Knight & her brother Ted Witte. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James B. (Emily) Lackey, Jeremy Michael Lackey, Morgan Elizabeth Knight & Hannah Grace Knight, and great-grandchildren Owen James Lackey & Avery Jane Lackey.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 5977 Lower Tug Fork Road, Melbourne, Kentucky. Burial will take place in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery Melbourne, Kentucky.
