Sue C. Ahr, of Oakbrook in Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication. With a remarkable career spanning over thirty years at the Internal Revenue Service, Sue ascended to various leadership roles, culminating as a facilities management supervisor for the Louisville District of the IRS. Her gift for connecting with people fostered meaningful relationships with colleagues, friends, and family alike. Sue’s remarkable ability to balance work and personal life with laughter and resilience serves as a powerful testament to her unwavering spirit.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Sue will hold her memory close to their hearts forever.
She is survived by three brothers, Richard Beach, Bobby Beach, and Eugene Beach, all of Carrollton, Kentucky, where Sue was born. Steven L. Ahr, Sue’s loving husband of 58 years, passed away on December 3, 2023. Funeral arrangements will be private, with donations in Sue’s honor welcomed at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
