Obituary For Sylvia Katherine Woodyard
Sylvia Katherine Woodyard, 84, of Dayton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on October 29, 2025. She was born on October 26, 1941, to the late Archie and Adel (née Lusby) Webster.
Sylvia was a devoted homemaker who cherished time with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, tending to her home and reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Alfred Woodyard; and her son, David Woodyard, her siblings, Roy Webster, Thomas Webster, Harry Webster. Walter Webster, Ida Ruth Webster, and Sally Quire.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Andy) Ashcraft; her sons, Glenn Woodyard, Timmy (Donna) Woodyard, Chuck Woodyard, Richard (Michelle) Woodyard, Bobby Woodyard, and Billy (Crissy) Woodyard; her siblings, Linda Jefferson and Hannah Hammons. She also leaves behind 29 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at New Hope Christian Church of Newport, 941 Central Avenue, Newport, KY 41071, on November 4, 2025 from 11-12 noon. Service will begin at 12 noon. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
