Obituary For Theresa "Terri" Ritko

Theresa “Terri” Ritko, age 50, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away on January 2, 2026.

Terri was born on August 15, 1975, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, the beloved daughter of Jack and Janice Frommel. She attended Walton Verona High School, where she was a standout track athlete, graduating with the Class of 1994.

For many years, Terri worked at the Waffle House in Erlanger, Kentucky, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly spirit. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Walton, her faith was an important part of her life.

Terri was married for 20 years to her husband, Jerry Ritko. Their love story began while they were both working as cab drivers, a memory she always cherished. Above all else, Terri loved her children deeply and found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother.

She was a wonderful cook, especially famous among family and friends for her tender pot roast and her love of chicken alfredo. Terri had a contagious, unforgettable laugh and a warm presence that filled any room. She enjoyed simple pleasures—tulips, Hershey Kisses, and Tootsie Rolls—and those small joys reflected her generous heart.

Terri is survived by her loving parents, Jack and Janice Frommel; her husband, Jerry Ritko; her children, Caitlin Wilson-Satterfield (Ray), Madelynne York, Autumn York, Jenna Ritko, Jacob Noble, Jessica Noble, Taylor Ritko, and Tiffany Ritko; her brother, Vernon Howard; and her cherished grandson, Rigby Satterfield. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louise Frommel and grandfather, Paul Shields.

Visitation will be held on January 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Beaver Lick Christian Cemetery. All services will take place at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky 41042.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terri’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Terri will be remembered for her love, laughter, and the deep devotion she had for her family. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
