Passed 12/9/2024

Obituary For Thomas P. Wagner
Thomas P. “Tom” Wagner, age 71, of Erlanger, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, at his residence. Tom was a US Army veteran.
He lived an active life, always focused on the people he loved. He was an avid golfer and loved watching sports, particularly baseball, football, and University of Kentucky basketball. He was a gifted woodworker, and his talents extended to creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces, including his own guitar, which he played with passion.
Tom was always joking around and had a great sense of humor. He could always come up with a good “dad joke”. He had a way of seeing the best in people; whether it was a warm hug that left you feeling the depth of his love, or a back pat so strong it could take your breath away. He’d give you the shirt off his back-except, of course, his Ryle Baseball windbreaker. He was always looking out for the well-being of those around him.
Tom took great pride in supporting his grandchildren, always attending their sporting events and bringing them donuts every Saturday morning, a tradition they will remember with fondness. His love for them was immeasurable, and he fought fiercely, to the end, to be there for them, always hoping to see them grow and thrive.
A man of simple pleasures, he loved going out for special sweets and treats, enjoying the trips to Dixie Chili and savoring a good home-cooked meal, especially from Colonial Cottage.
While Tom could be as stubborn as a mule-especially in the later years-his determination and resilience were unmatched. His strength, humor, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Kathleen Wagner and sister, Patty Wagner.
Tom is survived by his children: Aaron Wagner, Lauren Abner and Garrett Wagner (Madeline); grandchildren: Gus Wagner, Cecilia Wagner, Archie Wagner, Easton Abner and Elliot Abner; brother, Mike (Laura) Wagner; great nephew, Maddex Jones; uncle, Bob Ryan; as well as other family members.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
