Obituary For Timothy Rothfuss

Timothy Rothfuss, age 72, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025.

Born on September 5, 1953, Tim was the beloved son of the late Robert and June (Spanton) Rothfuss. He dedicated over 37 years of his life working at Walther Auto Body, where his work ethic, integrity, and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Tim was a man of simple joys and deep loves. He cherished time spent outside in his driveway, listening to local sports on the radio, a tradition that brought him quiet happiness. A passionate fisherman and a devoted grandfather, Tim found his greatest joy in the company of his grandchildren—Haley, Tyler, and Payton—who were the light of his life. By his side through it all was his faithful K9 companion, Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brothers-in-law Rick Balser and Gary Griffith.

Tim leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Rothfuss; his son, Tim Rothfuss (Heather); brothers, Dan (Terri), Rick (Tina), Tom (Teresa), and Bob Rothfuss; sisters, Roberta Stamper, June Balser, and Debbie Griffith; and his treasured grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, and Payton.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tim’s life during visitation at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow immediately at New Vine Run Cemetery.

Tim’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and the deep love he held for his family.
